Sarcoma is an uncommon group of cancers that arise in the bones and connective tissue such as fat and muscle. In most cases, it’s not clear what causes sarcoma. Treatment may include surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.

Sarcoma is a rare cancer, with nearly 100 different variations all requiring unique treatment plans. Sarcoma accounts for just about 1% of all cancers, and most oncologists have never treated a case. The particular type of sarcoma that Ginny has is only diagnosed about 30 times per year.

As a result, there is a significant lack of funding for all types of Sarcoma Cancer. An effective therapy for CIC-DUX4 remains to be established, and novel therapeutic strategies are urgently needed. All funds raised through Spin4Gin will go towards supporting this goal.
